Buffalo Niagara Weldworks is proud to play a key role in the next exciting chapter of Rainbows on Allen, a beloved community art project that has brightened the Allentown neighborhood since 2017. What began as painted rainbow corners at Allen and Elmwood — born from a spontaneous sidewalk conversation and brought to life through grassroots community effort — is now evolving into something even more dynamic.

In collaboration with project founder Seth Amman and Block Club's Patrick Finan, Buffalo Niagara Weldworks provided the fabrication and technical expertise needed to install light-refracting prisms along Allen Street, designed to cast shifting, natural rainbows throughout the year. Supported by Councilmember Mitch Nowakowski and funded through the BMSI Streetscape Beautification Grant, this installation is a beautiful example of what happens when skilled craftspeople and community visionaries come together — honoring Allentown's vibrant LGBTQ+ heritage and creative spirit one beam of light at a time.
